There are few available recorded observations in this country on the relationship of the body-weight and the weights of organs. While undertaking this study it was observed that it was likely, in fact, inevitable, to include bodies deposited in the mortuary for varying periods. The possibility of some variation in the weight of a dead body occurring as the result of cold storage by itself was worth considering. On referring to the available literature it was found that 110 observations on body-weights during refrigeration appear to have been made so far.
